SORTAIDER BEST SUSTAINABLE RECYCLING-SOLUTIONS

Sortaider is an Estonian company that design’s and produces functional and practical waste sorting solutions for homes as well as companies and organisations. Driven by a desire to be environmentally friendly and to tackle one of the world’s biggest problems- waste, a recycling solution was created that is both environmentally friendly and sustainable, looks aesthetic and is well-suited for indoor use.

Our premium quality products are made of Baltic birch plywood, which for its strength and durability is one of the most valued materials in the world. Unlike metal and plastic, CO2 is not emitted during the manufacture of plywood, but is instead removed from the carbon cycle. Thanks to their tasteful Nordic style the products function rather as elements that are integrated in the interior design of homes and offices. One of our products, the Container was awarded with the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021.

Design

Designer Johannes Maltis feels passionate about contributing to the global need for an environmentally sounder lifestyle and tackles the issue by offering a stylish way to recycle.

Sortaider product design has in cooperation with our customers undergone a number of necessary updates; however, our original principles – the joggled solution (no screws) and the flat packaging remain as features characteristic of Sortaider.

The Container W4 waste sorting station has been designed
to be appealing and intuitive, motivating the user to
separate waste while still being very uncomplicated to use.
